Oracle Applications Developer

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for Oracle e-Business Suite 11i including general knowledge of Oracle Finance, Procurement, Projects, and HRMS applications
  • Work closely with Apps Functional Specialists to understand business requirements and to gain a thorough understanding of the business processes
  • Conducts application design planning and recommends alternatives to create company-wide solution
  • Creates custom alerts, workflows, triggers, views, reports, forms and data warehousing for Oracle e-Business Suite 11i
  • Extend Oracle Applications with strong development skills in SQL, PL/SQL as well as Oracle Forms, Reports, XML Publisher, Discoverer and Workflow
  • Follow Oracle Application Development standards when creating custom code
  • Provides application documentation and periodic activity reports
  • Stay abreast of new developments and functionality in Oracle offerings


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Experience with Oracle 11i (11.5.10) Applications and development tools
  • Must have participated in 4+ Oracle implementations and/or upgrades
  • Ability to work closely with functional analysts and technical lead to explore different design approaches to make informed design recommendations
  • 5+ years experience in Oracle SQL/ PL/SQL programming. Working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating system and shell scripting
  • Knowledge of Oracle 11i table structures and relationships plus the ability to construct efficiently tuned SQL to query/update them
  • Provide skilled, knowledgeable expertise in Oracle best practices
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle e-Business architecture and administration
  • Exceptional ability to diagnose/solve system problems while maintaining professionalism and courtesy
  • Adaptable and resourceful, capable of working under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines with limited resources
  • Proven interpersonal skills; ability to work productively/professionally with any level of business/technical resources as relates to requirement definition, analysis, prototyping and scope consensus
  • Experience with global implementations and multiple currencies are desired
  • Knowledge of Oracle Development standards
