Oracle DBA

Responsibilities: 

The successful candidate will have experience performing the following functions:

• Configure, install and maintain multiple database instances
• Support monitoring tools and providing data model launches
• Performance tuning, upgrading database application software, completing database replication, data backup and recovery procedures
• Reorganize tables and indexes using export and import utilities
• Application tuning using SQL Trace, TKPROF, Explain Plan, UTLBSTAT/TULESTAT and or Oracle Enterprise Manager tool set
• Perform database space/capacity management
• Develop & review database structures, standards, and procedures for adherence to business standards

Required Skills:

• Over 5 years of Oracle DBA experience with strong technical skills working with Oracle 9i/10g.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL and SQL
• Extensive experience in schema management, tablespace, datafile and extent management, as well as user and privilege management
• Experience monitoring Oracle RDMS availability, database exports, table space, and extents reports
• Experience with DB Diagnostic and monitoring tools (OEM)
• Proficiency with Data Guard
• Proficiency in navigating in Unix and Linux environments
• Involvement with physical and logical design of database and Oracle development experience preferred
